At AFPRA we encourage and support African professionals to use their skills, knowledge and economic power to start and develop business entreprises. We live in increasingly uncertain times with no job security in most industries, hence the need to develop multiple streams of income. This is why we focus on entrepreneurship as an avenue for economic empowerment. Australia still offers a great deal of opportunities for its migrant population groups, compared to many other first world countries. We have built a directory for Africa professionals and entrepreneurs as a means to encourage the flow of money and business ideas within our communities. We help people with ideas to develop them into successful businesses. Entrepreneurship is booming within other migrant groups in Australia and there is no reason for African-Australians to stay behind. Together we can create more wealth. We also host a business podcast to share the knowledge in this area.

Afroshine Professionals' Alliance (AFPRA) provides information and organise networking events, discussion forums and training sessions to help African-Australian professionals advance their career in Australia. As we bring professionals together, we build a knowledge bank using the various skills and experiences within our membership. We encourage meaningful interactions within our network to help each other achieve success in our respective careers by learning from each other. Working together helps everyone to increase our cultural capital, develop skills and strategies necessary for succeeding in the fast-moving and market driven Australian workplace environment. We share our professional stories and experiences and support one another to encourage personal and professional growth. While we don't provide jobs directly, we use the power of our network to help our members find useful employment opportunities. All of our activities are structured in ways that enable our members to effectively support each other for various endeavours.
